Abstract

The wrist joint complex is the most complex joint in the body, both from an anatomical and physiological point of view. The wrist provides the position of the hand and fingers for fine movement. It also provides stable support in the arm to transfer gripping forces. Grips can be divided into "strong" grips, i.e. a firm grip, which is reflected in grips with a full fist, and "precise" grips when pinched with the thumb and some of the fingers. The exercises aim to improve mobility and gross muscle strength of the hand, thus improving functional ability. When performing exercises for the hand, attention should be paid to the position of the entire upper limb because the moving muscles of the wrist and hand are multi-jointed.
