Abstract

In this pilot study we evaluated Extremely Low Electromagnetic Frequency (ELEMF) imprinted in Tuning Element 5Minute Relief PatchesTM (5MRP) as an adjunct support in postsurgical pain management. 10 postsurgical patient were treated with 5MRP as an adjunct to standard postoperative opioid medication and 10 were treated only with standard postoperative opioid medication. Our study concluded that ELEMF in 5MRP increase pain tolerance threshold in postsurgical pain management thus requiring significant reduction in usage of opioid medication.
