Sažetak

 

 

Uvod: Kvalitetan san je značajan faktor psiho-fizičkog zdravlja i prevenira nastanak hroničnih nezaraznih bolesti. Prema Svetskoj zdravstvenoj organizaciji pod kvalitetnim snom se podrazumeva spavanje od 7h tokom noći za odrasle. Brojne studije ukazuju na loš kvalitet sna u studentskoj populaciji. Cilj: Ispitati učestalost kao i faktore koji utiču na loš kvalitet sna i dnevnu pospanost studenata Medicinskog fakulteta.
Materijal i metode: Istraživanje je sprovedeno kao studija preseka, u vidu ankete na studentima Medicinskog fakulteta u Novom Sadu tokom 2020. godine. Obuhvata studente svih studijskih smerova i godina. Ispitivan je kvalitet sna, gde se pod lošim kvalitetom smatrala vrednost Pitsburške skale za procenu kvaliteta sna (PSQI) >5 i stepen dnevne pospanosti, gde se vrednost Epfortove skale dnevne pospanosti (ESS) >10 smatrala značajnom. Rezultati: U studiju su uključena 353 studenta, od kojih je 281 (79,60%) ženskog, a 72 (20,39%) muškog pola prosečne starosti 21,5 ± 3,54. Loš kvalitet sna bio je prisutan kod 200 studenata (56,49%), a povećana dnevna pospanost bila prisutna kod 59 (16,66%). Nezavisni prediktori lošeg kvaliteta sna su prisustvo anzioznosti i depresije (OR 4,25, 95% CI 1,97-9,18, p<0,001), dok su godina studija (OR 0,80, 95% CI 0,68-0,94, p=0,01) i količina energetskih pića (OR 1,004, 95% CI 1,001-1,007, p=0,018) nezavisni prediktori povećane dnevne pospanosti. Smer studija je povezan sa simptomima povećane dnevne pospanosti, ali ne i sa kvalitetom sna. Zaključak: Više od polovine studenata Medicinskog fakulteta ima loš kvalitet sna, uz manje izražen stepen dnevne pospanosti. Studenti sa anksioznošću ili depresijom imaju lošiji kvalitet sna, dok godina studija i konzumacija energetskih pica povećavaju dnevnu pospanost.

Abstract

 

Introduction: Quality sleep is an important factor in psycho-physical health and prevents the development of chronic non-communicable diseases. According to the WHO, quality sleep means sleeping 7h during the night for adults. Aim: Examine the frequency and factors associated with poor sleep quality and daily sleepiness. Material and methods: The research was conducted as a cross-sectional study in the form of a survey of students on the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad in 2020. The quality of sleep was examined, with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) >5 considered poor quality, and the degree of daily sleepiness, with Epworth sleepines scale (ESS) >10 considered significant. Results: The study included 353 students, of whom 281 (79.60%) were female, and 72 (20.39%) were male, with an average age of 21.5 ± 3,54. Poor sleep quality was present in 200 students (56.49%), and increased daily sleepiness was present in 59 (16.66%). Independent predictors of poor sleep quality are the presence of anxiety and depression (OR 4.25%, 95% Cl 1.97-9.18, p<0.001), while the study year (OR 0.80, 95% Cl 0.68-0.94, p=0.01) and the amount of energy drinks (OR 1.004, 95% Cl 1.001-1.007, p=0.018) independent predictors of increased daytime sleepiness. Conclusion: More than half of the students in the Faculty of Medicine have poor sleep quality, with a milder degree of daytime sleepiness. Students with anxiety or depression have poorer quality of sleep, while years of study and consumption of energy drinks increase daily drowsiness.
